The parents of a six-year-old Michigan boy have revealed that he was able to raise enough money to buy his own service dog. The child, Ian Unger, has type 1 diabetes and therefore can’t ride the school bus on his own. Ian was devastated by the news as he wanted to be just like the other kids. The parents were then told that Ian could ride the school bus— so long as he had a service dog. But costing upwards of $25,000, it would take years of saving to be able to afford one. Luckily, Ian came up with his own solution.
