The worst of the worst.
Just when you think you've seen it all and humanity cannot sink any lower, something even more terrible happens. Even the most seasoned detectives have been destroyed by some of the crime scenes described here. Some of the cruelest, most inhumane crimes have been carried out during the last few years. Be forewarned, the crimes described in this article are brutal and involve the abuse and torture of children.No violent crime should ever be taken lightly, and every victim is equally important. The intent of this article is not to somehow suggest that "regular murders" are somehow routine and banal. Rather, this article is an assortment of some extreme examples of human cruelty and depravity. All murders are horrific.
The murder of Mayang Prasetyo. Mayang Prasetyo was a beautiful young woman who lived with her partner, 27-year-old Marcus Volke, in Brisbane, Australia. Prasetyo was a model. Volke was a chef whose specialty was bone broth.
A horrid smell. The electricity in Volke's apartment building shorted out. An electrician who fixed the circuit breaker noticed a horrible smell coming from the apartment. He notified the building manager, who in turn notified police.
A horrible discovery. Police entered Volke's apartment and observed blood all over the floor. The stench of death was overwhelming. Prasetyo's feet were found in a pot on the stove. Prasetyo's remains not eaten by Volke were found in a trash bag. Volke escaped from police while being questioned and took his own life, his body later discovered in a bin. Please note that this crime took place in 2014, but the details were not released until 2017.
