Boys wear blue and girls wear pink. Boys like toy soldiers and action figures and trucks and girls like princess dresses and dolls. Yeah, don't think so. It's 2016 now and though we're not as forward-thinking as we should be, we've definitely progressed in our perception of gender in the past few years. The stereotypical notions of what boys and girls should like and wear and do no longer apply, and Smyths Toys Superstores recently put out an advertisement that says just that. How did the company accomplish this? They put a little boy in a princess dress in one of their commercials and let him enjoy himself.
