Problem. Many people will often be unable to run errands without being stopped by someone curious or wanting to compliment someone’s tattoo. It’s called tatcalling and it’s a form of street harassment that is becoming a really big problem.
Entitled. It’s incredible that so many people believe that they are entitled to your body. They don’t even think twice about the things they say or the way they behave. As a woman with tattoos i’ve had so many people reach out to grab my arms, and outline my the ink in my skin with their fingers without even asking for permission.
Interrogate. I’ve heard so many people make backhanded compliments or interrogate me about what each piece mean and why I chose it. I’ve had people make jokes about the placement of a few of my pieces. And the worst part? I’m far from alone in my experiences.
