When you think of haunted hotels, there's the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles where Elisa Lam died on the roof, where wretched things are rumored to happen. There's the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago where an inordinate amount of murders, suicides and accidental deaths have occurred. There's the Chelsea Hotel where Sid Vicious is accused of killing Nancy Spungen, and the Myrtles Plantation down South which is rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of the slaves who perished there at the hands of the sadistic overseers. There are the fictitious Bates Motel and Overlook Hotel. And then, there is the Wayside Inn, which was tucked away on the Kansas prairie in the late 1800s. The Wayside Inn was one of the evilest lodging houses in history, thanks to the sadistic maniacs who ran the place...the Bloody Benders, America's first family of serial killers.
