Recently, New Jersey-based photographer Jess Fielder released “Project: Self Love,” a stunning photo series that showcases the constant body-shaming women experience on a daily basis. For it, Jess asked 17 gorgeous souls to pose with a handwritten sign with something “said to them in their lives about their bodies that impacted their self-confidence negatively.” Then, she had them "write down something they know to be true of themselves that has nothing to do with physicality.” The final images are beautifully moving, to say the least. Above all, however, the photos are a strong reminder that women don’t owe it to anyone to be “pretty.” Take a look for yourself below.
