Fair Hair Care. Fair Hair Care is pushing for regulations to be enforced in the hair extension industry. Right now, there are widespread rumors of hair extensions being obtained by unethical practices.

Goat hair. Horrifying rumors have surfaced that hair extensions being marketed as human are actually from goats. Some hair extensions are rumored to be harvested from corpses. It's hard to dispel fact from fiction with no industry standards.

Misleading marketing. Almost all hair extensions come from China and India. They are marketed, however, as being Indonesian, Brazilian, Peruvian, etc.
